🚀 Quick Start Guide

Step 1: Understand the System

SportsWeb7 fetches real-time football match data from 5 different APIs and calculates predictions based on statistical analysis.

What it does:

• Fetches match fixtures for any selected date
• Analyzes last 10 home/away matches for each team
• Calculates BTTS (Both Teams To Score) probability
• Calculates Win probability for home and away teams
• Highlights high-confidence predictions

Step 2: Select a Date

Go to the dashboard and select a date. For best results:

• Weekends (Saturday/Sunday) typically have the most matches
• Use dates within the current season (2025/2026) ONLY
• Statistics are fetched ONLY from season 2025/2026 for accuracy
• Each team's stats are venue-specific (home team → home matches, away team → away matches)
• Future dates will show scheduled fixtures

Step 3: Fetch Match Data

Click "Fetch Matches & Statistics" to retrieve data from the APIs.

The system will:

• Query all 5 APIs for matches on your selected date
• Remove duplicate matches
• Fetch last 10 home/away matches for each team
• Calculate predictions automatically
• Save everything to the database

Step 4: View Predictions

After fetching, you have two viewing options:

• View All Matches - Shows all matches with their predictions
• View Recommended - Shows only high-confidence predictions (BTTS ≥ 70% OR Win Diff ≥ 29%)

No Matches Found?

Possible reasons:

• No matches scheduled for that date
• API rate limits reached (free tier limitations)
• Date is too far in the future
• Season hasn't started yet for that date

Solutions:

• Try a weekend date (more matches)
• System uses ONLY current season 2025/2026 for accurate predictions
• Multiple API fallback: If one API fails, system tries Football-Data.org, then AllSportsAPI
• Use the Debug API tool to check API responses
• Create demo data to test the system
• Wait a few minutes if rate limited

Insufficient Statistics?

If you see "Insufficient statistics for prediction", it means:

• The team hasn't played enough home/away matches (needs at least 3)
• The season is just starting
• The team is newly promoted

The system requires at least 3 matches per team to calculate predictions.

How it works:

• ✓ Fetches ONLY from current season 2025/2026
• ✓ Home team: Gets last 10 HOME matches only
• ✓ Away team: Gets last 10 AWAY matches only
• ✓ API Fallback: Tries API-Football → Football-Data.org → AllSportsAPI
• ✓ Minimum 3 matches required per team
